That’s exactly what life looked like here in Australia after 10yrs of our conservative Howard government – then we kicked them out November 07 and our fantastic new Prime Minister (and first ever female Deputy Prime Minister) have already ratified the Kyoto Treaty on climate change, are getting our troops out of Iraq (but staying in Afghanistan to sort out the Taliban) and are in the process of repealing Howards horribly regressive workplace laws – and they have a record breaking 70% approval rating.

Sigh – it feels like we’ve woken up from a bad dream – the sun is shining, the birds are singing

It may seem like a long way away, but don’t lose sight of the dream – you too can have your very own smart leader
