Ditto. To be honest, though, it’s kind a damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t situation regarding the GOP convention.

If they carry on it will be viewed as callous and if they help with the relief it will be seen as nothing more than an attempt to garner voter sympathy.

I don’t think an appropriate course of actions exists that won’t tick off some.

To me, there is only one word that sums up Sen. McCain: Opportunistic.

First he saw an opportunity to capitalize on disgruntled Hillary voters by choosing a candidate that would stay out of his way and hopefully bring the women vote– so he took it.

Now he sees an opportunity to be the hero with Gustav, to make the GOP the “party that cares,” which is simply another PR stunt.

Im glad you’ve used hard facts to show McCain doesn’t care, but he’ll manipulate anything he can (war in Georgia, national disasters) to his advantage.

Sad.
