I agree why are you all so concern? Why not just sit back proclaim Obama as the winner, like you already have done for months, now? If this is just more proof that McCain is going to lose then why call names and be so nasty?

And as far running, the man made a statement in the afternoon when he got the call at 830am. I know he is old, but he could have made it there much sooner, if he was trying to trump Obama. It never fails Republicans are Evil and the Democrats are the innocent ones trying to change the world for the good. Yeah, whatever!

Trip, you should read up a bit about why McCain "understands the magnitude of the problem": he is one of its primary architects. His decades-long anti-regulation crusade led to the S&L crisis in the 1980s, Enron in the early 2000s and the current meltdown. Currently, McCain is calling for increased government oversight and regulation, which is interesting since he has spent the past year championing AGAINST such things. But why would you listen to me? Try listening to facts: We do not support government bailouts of private institutions. Government interference in the markets exacerbates problems in the marketplace and causes the free market to take longer to correct itself. We believe in the free market as the best tool to sustained prosperity and opportunity for all, That is from the official 2008 Republican Platform statement, circa one month ago. If McCain is such a pro-regulation reformer who is dropping everything to rush back to Washington to fix the mess that greedy, unregulated companies have created... why would he have said otherwise so recently? Come at me with facts and I will listen, bring insults and I will ignore you.

So Obama doesn’t understand the magnitude of the problem and he’s a leader where McCain DOES and he’s an opportunist. The cynicism of the angry left is boundless. And BTW…McCain’s strength is foreign policy so he’s not eager to pass on the chance to show Obama for the poseur we know him to be. But McCain put country first and Obama failed. Again.

McCain should be able to debate today, by the way. Being Mr. Experience and all. If he can’t take two hours out of his night to give the people some “straight talk” on where he stands on the issues, then he’s a worse failure than I imagined. And that’s saying something.
