So THIS is what they mean…

…when they say you will love ANYTHING your kids’ do…

Who wouldn't want a hunk of plaster and cd from their kids?

Mommy's Birthday Present

  1. Awwww Happy Birthday Erin and Kaiser!!!!! I love what the kids got you! Is that designer? GORGEOUS! Seriously – wayyyyy cute.

  2. Yup. That’s exactly what they mean.

That, and throwing your favorite makeup down the toilet.

Hope you and the Kaiser had a wonderful birthday. Many more happy years are wished upon you from me!

  3. Those are the things to cherish the most. One day they won’t be so loving (preteen and up). Happy Birthday. Hope it’s a great one!!

  4. Even though I know what the first picture is of, I still don’t get it.

  5. canoe chick says:

Okay, so I know I must be feeling deprived, because the first thing I noticed in that second picture was not the (admittedly adorable) kids art, but the bottle of wine on the counter!! The sad things pregnancy does to me….

  6. So what CD did he use? hee hee… do you two have the same birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  7. Reminds me of the year when my youngest was in preschool. I’m convinced they had found a book: 101 Parent-Craft-Gifts-to-Make-With-a-Handprint-Cutout. They were precious. I love the photo frame.

  8. Yep, that’s what it means. Look at it this way – keep all of those items, hide them away for many years, then give them to the kids as wedding gifts at each of their weddings.

And yeah, I also first noticed the wine in the second picture before anything else.

  9. I love this.

I have a paper weight just like that one that Dawson made at daycare. It’s so darn hideous, but I love it.

  10. I’m going to be 31 soon, and I swear my parents still display things I made for them when I was your kids’ ages. I’m sure you know that is what is coming, but just warning you.

  11. Awww. I really DO like the kissy picture!
