My husband and I were at a show watching a band play the night the U.S. invaded Iraq. Millions of lives ago. We had one baby, not even 2 years old. Now, we have four kids, and that baby is 9 1/2.

Slightly off topic: your son was an absolutely gorgeous little newborn!
My Madeline was born the day we went to war. I saved the newspaper from that day. I am sure she will like to have it some day, but it was a terribly sad headline for a day that was so special for my family.
I just keep watching Maddow over and over tonight. She was the perfect person to share the news with the world.
